The look on Mr. Wyke’s face when he came to visit the office for the first time said it all. The space at 1108 5th Avenue in downtown Coraopolis had been completely transformed. Open, airy and inviting.
In 2019, Tiffany Battaglini decided she was ready to take her 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and embark on her own agency. Never shy of a challenge, Tiffany put on her interior design hat and set her eyes on the former Wyke’s TV & Electronics repair shop.
“For me, there was no where else I would rather open my business. Coraopolis is home. I could have gone to any Pittsburgh neighborhood, but I chose to be here because I care about this community.”
Tiffany’s roots were laid long before her insurance agency opened its beautifully renovated doors. Born in Coraopolis, where she lived with her grandparents and mother on Woodlawn Drive, she can easily tell you the names and relations of many of the other longtime families in the neighborhood.
“As I sit and look out of my storefront window, I remember the time I spent with my grandfather across the street at Eddie’s Lunch.”
The fact that Tiffany is so invested in the Coraopolis community gives her the knowledge to personally tailor the best coverage, rates, and care for each one of her clients.
“Because we’re an independent Insurance agency, we can choose the best policies to fit our clients needs and help protect what matters most to them: their loved ones, homes, and businesses.”
But insurance is not Tiffany's only passion. The proud Cornell grad is heavily involved in supporting local children and hopes to show kids that they can be anything they set out to be.
“I have definitely struggled throughout my life; when I wasn’t sure about my path or what my next step should be. I would have never dreamt that I would be in the position I’m in, as a business owner in the town where I grew up and able to give back. I’m very grateful.”
As one of the Coraopolis Youth Creations (CYC) Board of Directors, Tiffany volunteers her time to make sure children in the area have safe, fun, and enriching programs available to them during out of school time.
“I love talking to the kids. I’m always honest with them about my story. I hope it shows them that even if you make mistakes or stumble along the way, you can be successful.”
Tiffany's honesty and authenticity is what makes her such an approachable leader in the community. When she’s not at the office or volunteering for the CYC, food pantry and other local causes, you can find her spending time with her children, husband and her grandson, Lonnie.
With a one year anniversary approaching this Spring, The Tiffany R. Battaglini Insurance Agency is in full bloom.
“I look forward to being a part of the revitalization of Coraopolis, adding to the strength of this community and doing business here for a long time.”
Next time you’re in Cory’s business district grabbing coffee, shopping or running errands, make sure to stop in and say hello to Tiffany.
